Key responsibilities include: 

The primary responsibility of this role, as Electrical Reliability Engineer, is to be responsible and accountable for maintenance, reliability, project development concepts, and optimization of the PCT electrical assets across the Baytown site.


The incumbent will:
 
• Verify compliance with engineering, safety and procedures, as well as verify the overall performance of installations;
• Conduct incident investigations, assigns and follows up on corrective action items, particularly with respect to PCT failures;
• Responsible for reviewing maintenance repair scopes & PM intervals;
• Accountable for the leadership of Defect Elimination (DE) teams;
• Provide technical support to PCT Engineers and Technicians;
• Accountable for controlling and updating unit PCT documentation, particularly the SKM model of relay coordination and Arc Flash Hazards Analysis;
• Coordinate delegation of this work with other engineering resources;
• Develops strategies and solutions to address PCT reliability or operational issues;
• Manages improvement projects that result in an increased reliability and operational efficiency;
• Managed PCT engineering support across the BU’s in an efficient and cost effective manner;
• Ensures PCT maintenance practices, procedures and engineering standards are in place and followed;
• Interpretation of cost, maintenance reports and cost-related discussions with engineers and technicians;
• Maintain the SKM model;
• Assist with the effective deployment of business and technical resources in pursuit of annual goals;
• Develop strong SEL relay experience for the Baytown site.


The selected candidate is required to possess the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering discipline with 8 years of experience OR a Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline with 4 years of experience in and industrial / chemical complex.
• Solid background in power electronic systems such as High Power Rectifiers, Variable Frequency Drives and protective relaying.
• Strong experience in distribution systems from 480 to 138,000 volts.
• Experience in root cause analysis of reliability or operational issues.
• Experience in developing sustainable corrective and preventative action plans.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills as interfaces will range from electricians to Site Management Leadership.
• Proficiency in SKM software, and advanced protective relays of SEL.

The Staff or Principal Plastics Engineer is independently responsible for leading and delivering projects. Specifically, this role will lead Sterile Disposables manufacturing process development and provide DFM input for New Product Development and Cost Reduction programs. Technical / Behavioral Requirements:

2. Strong working knowledge of extrusion systems, technologies and process lines set up. Experience in the development of injection mold and/or extrusion tooling

3. Strong experience performing process capability analysis; Six Sigma Black Belt and Medical manufacturing process validation experience strongly preferred

4. Strong knowledge of plastics engineering with significant depth in materials science

5. Working knowledge of design tools such as Pro-E, Solidworks, Mold-flow, Abaqus, etc. is preferred

6. Strong background in plastic material selection, testing, characterization and failure analysis techniques
